    Hi guys.

was wondering if i could get help with some issues which i have with films.

    I would like to know:

would air escape technology still work if its laminated??

My vinyl is tearing very easily. is this because of the cold or is it because its not laminated??

is there any companies out there selling matt black v wrap on air escape technology??

    thanx & merry xmas!!

Laminating a film does not affect the air escape embossed glue surface – so it will work as before.

Cold certainly does cause vinyls to tear more easily – particularly cast films. Keeping the vinyl in a warm environment would help.

I think hexis and kpmf do air release mat, not that is any better than normal, but you should not attempt a wrap at less than 18 degrees, and that also means the vehicle temparature. I speak from experience and a stupid attempt t0 fit a mat black roof to a range rover in less than ideal conditions, a few days ago.

I got to within a foot of the finished article, pulled the vinyl free to release a crease, and because the car was cold, the vinyl shattered.

60 quid down the pan + time and paying for an assistant.

William Smith also got matte black with comply technology (air escape). You don’t need to laminate that stuff. If it’s printed vinyl have to be laminated. At least 16-17 degrees for wrapping.

I’ve got that matte black and i’ll gonna use it tomorrow.
