help with using Epson Photo paper for mug sublimation
Having read a lot of forums in here, I realised that the Rotech Jewel paper supplied by listawood is pretty much useless for mugs. (i’m supprised they recommend it for mug pritning).
I have just used Epson Photo paper and the results were fantastic. Crystal sharp and perfect colour.
BUT!
It looks as though the paper coating melts and leaves a matt looking residue all over the mug, which i have to scrape off.
Anyone know how to stop this.
I tried 190 degrees for 160seconds and had perfect prints, but residue.
tried again at 170 degrees for 160 seconds and had lower quality print but as much residue.
I’m using Airtanium ink, Epson C86, and a novachrome mug press.
thanks in advance
Andrew
