Help with tribal car graphic
Posted by Terry Beech on 26 March 2005 at 12:41We have a regular customer who has come in to the trade counter this morning with a black pen drawing on A4 paper of a tribal graphic that he wants us to cut in vinyl. How am I going to do this? I thought that I could scan it then trace in Corel? is this right? (?)

Thats the way I would do it. Probably the best way. 😀

Stick a copy of it up on the boards mate.
If it isn’t to cpmplicated I will vectorise it for you.
I’ve got about ten designs I’m vectorising today so one more wont make much difference.

I’ve done it that way too.
Not fun.
Lots of extra nodes.
Make sure to charge him out the wazoo!

that would be great if you could. I’ll have a go myself too to see if I can do it anyway for future use. By the way Jill did you manage to get the buns on Fed EX in time?

I can’t seem to open it
Could you save it as an ai or even just a jpg and I will work from that
Cheers

…those buns are long gone (urp)
When I scanned in my flames,
I just did it in GA and imported it (place image)
as a black & white bitmap,
then selected “raster to vector”.
It still sucked tho.
