I while since I did any foil blocking but I think the print plates are made from a magnesium alloy.

What are you trying to do with the material Stevie?

    Hello Tim

I have a hot foil press, that I bought over a year ago, never got round to using it due to the time factor. I also have an engraving machine, I thought that I would engrave my own plates and cut some of the time out of the foiling, I tried to sell it a while ago, and no-one jumped so I would loss to much money if I went cheaper, so ………………….short word, I will give it a go as im stuck with it

Try Gravograph or Suregrave as they market their machines as being able to cut dies etc…..
