Help with my first vinyl application
Hello all ,i have just cut a 1600mm long Dragon which i want to put on to the side of my car now i have covered it with app tape and tried to align it with my rulers and masking tape which i must say went quite well.Because the side of my car is rounded with all sorts of bends and such that when i came to peel off the backing paper and lay on the vinyl it wouldn’t lay flat because of the contours of the car so my question is how do i start to lay the vinyl is there any hints i need to know before i recommit myself to do it again.Any help or advice will be very much appreciated.

b, wouldn’t make allot of sense coming from many other than seeing it visually.

Have you had a look through the tutorials Kevin? Would have thought there was something in there that would help. Like Robert I’m finding it difficult to come up with a way to explain the best way to apply it so that it will be understandable!!!
What vinyl have you used to cut the graphics for the car because that will also make a difference as to how easy or difficult you find it if there are a lot of contours.

I would probably think about resizing the graphic and fit it in an area without curves going in different directions – at least till you build up more experience – having said that if you have already got the big one you might as well bang it on and see how it goes.
