I have been asked to quote for a job involving portaloo’s. I know that these things are blow molded, and not a lot of stuff sticks to them. Can anyone recommend a good vinyl, that would suit this plastic, don’t want it to fall off when they are pressure washed

    Thanks

i have been doing wheelie bins for the Olympic site & used LG High Tack from All Print Supplies. These bins take a lot of abuse, 4000 bins on and no problems yet. Ensure you clean the surface well first.

Amari do a product from Arlon. DPF 8000. It sticks like you know what to a blanket. Expensive though and only comes in 720 x 1200 I think although they will split it for you.

The 8000 should be 1370mm x 50yards, unless they cut is down after they get it. Great product; perfect for that application.

Mactac and 3m have a similar product. Radecal signs and graphics just went with some of the Mactac for the side of their building and it turned out great.

Use wall-wrap or engineering grade film when searching for these products.

Alron also do DPF 4587 which is a polymeric calendered so a bit kinder on the pocket…….described as "premium pressure sensitive film for textured surfaces" with aggressive adhesive.

True, 4587 would be another option. Nearly the same adhesive as the 8000 actually, just less of it.

With those portaloos’ having such a low-energy surface though, I personally would prefer as much adhesive strength as possible.

It all comes down to budget and life-expectation. If you can swing it, i’d go with the wall wrap film from one of those 3.

Correct I get it cut down to two widths, expensive stuff as they wont split it without selling you the whole roll
