  • HELP! VersaCamm VP540 Grainy print quality

    Hi

I’ve got a problem with my VersaCamm. I’m trying to print a file with embedded jpegs in it. Printed plenty of these before, no cut contours in it. It keeps printing a very grainy image no matter what profile or quality setting I use. There’s no banding, just sparse grainy ink coverage. Have I inadvertently changed a setting or is it a hardware issue? Got a job that has to be printed and mounted this afternoon and I’m now in a muddle! Called Roland and ‘should get a call within 2 working hours’, which I’m guessing means tomorrow…

    Help?!

    Hi John

Had something similar with my cadet, I know its different technology and rip, but that was simply where I was exporting as cmyk rather than rgb?

Probably something completely different but might be worth a try? 😳

what resolution are the embedded jpegs? if they are low res and have been stretched then the quality wont be good!

😳 All sorted. Knew it would be something silly. I did a nozzle check and one of the Cyan ink lines was blocked. Did a powerful clean and sorted it! Thanks for the replies anyway – appreciate it!
