  • help please with acrylic / poycarbonate signs?

    Morning all

I have been asked to supply some signs that have to be approx a4 size in clear acrylic / polycarbonate.

They have to have the lettering / logo cut in reverse, to go on the rear of the sign or inside, if that makes sense, and wall mounted with pegs of some sort, ie 1 in each corner to raise sign from the wall, approx 1 inch.

Can these be made from acrylic / polycarb, bearing in mind the edge must be neat, or can I buy these in ready to letter etc.

    Any help / advice appreciated

    Bob

Better off with acrylic with the edges flame polisehed and then use stand off’s to mount onto wall. Even better. use silicon acrylic as this has a green tinge to it and looks like glass when flame polished. A good supplier of this is Flooreeda Fabrications in Heaton Mersey, Stockport.

    Hi

here is a link to some acrylic stand off panels that I’d done – Floreeda supplied the panels. Ignore the issue of the bubbles as they all went away after a few days and the signs still look really good.
