Hi everyone haven’t been on here for months, still recognise some of the old faces though!!!

Anyway enough reminiscing!! I have a job to supply some 2 colour vinyl logos. I would usually apply these no probs and align the second colour once the first is applied.

trouble is the customer wants them for self fit and with both colours on the same app tape.

i have tried putting app tape on second colour and peeling off and then applying to first colour. Trouble is this seems impossible to line up!!!

I have tried using dots to line up on a 600mmx1000mm sheet of them and some lined up ok others didn’t. It seems as if the app tape is somehow not holding its shape to well??

any tips on how to achieve this would be great!!!

Not 100% about the question, but I’ll give it a bash.

If reg marks are not working (though they should) I would set up the graphic and array it as you want it to cut, then put a weed border around the entire thing. Now duplicate and on each copy delete a different colour. Now if you send both these to cut on there correct colour, weed from inside the weed box, tape your second colour and trim to the inside of the weed box. Your rectangle of app tape complete with graphic should now be the exact size to fit into the weed border of the first colour and hey presto yer all lined up.

I actually only just understand that now that I read back so I hope it helps?!
