I have been using my antique Data Font 1000 Vinyl cutter for a year now ,and am still very new to this sign game .
I started to learn about the trade last year and have learned the hard way, but now i have found you all, hopefully you can help me with my next purchase.
my data font is great but it is quite slow and very big. so what should i buy and how big should it be?
Please be aware i don’t have vast amounts of cash !!!!!!!

Depends what sort of work you want to do with it. Plotter prices range from about £900 for a cheap 610mm wide up to £4 – £5000 for a 1220mm or bigger.

You get what you pay for. Some suppliers give much better after sales service than others, for example.

With the sign show being next week you might be able to find a deal knocking around. We got our Graphtec CE3000-60 (610mm) reduced because it was ex display and its been great, got to be one of the better plotters for its size.

If your starting out, a 610mm plotter is a good size to be thinking about.

But like Big G said it depends on the cash you want to spend. 😉

    Cheers

    Chris 😀
