Hello my name is Bernie Fraser and I am new to the forums . Currently I work as a mechanic but last year the company I work for made 15 employees redundant and I am not sure when the rest of us will go . I had started a little business from home a few years ago screen printing T-shirts . Bought the Roland GX24 last year and wish to learn about the sign vinyl and have been reading as much as I can , even bought the Graphic installers handbook by Rob Ivers . Have been doing a lot of practice laying down the vinyl . There have been many Beers consumed as I practice , practice , practice and evaluate what went wrong . So hello to you all from dusty North Queensland .

Thank you for the welcome guys. Yes Martin it is really hot here at the moment , my first week back at work and I had to do some work outside for a couple of days and I am burnt to a crisp . Definitely not the same weather as what we see on the other side of the world at the moment .

    Hi Bernie,

    Welcome to the boards!.

My brother is in Palmerston, just outside Darwin. Spoke to him a few days ago and he says they have just had the hottest day on record and is now waiting / praying for the rain!

Hi Daz , thanks for the welcome . Yes it would be hot and humid in Darwin .We really do need rain here as well , the grass is all dead . I feel sorry for the animals as there is a Island off Townsville here with Koalas on it and I remember reading a story where the Koalas were dying of dehydration as they get moisture through the leaves . Hope your brother gets some rain soon in Darwin .
