Ok well a bit about me, Im james from The Downs near Brighton

My background is in graphic design, basically I worked for a printing firm for 9 years designing everything from For Sale boards to a redesign of a cargo plane paint job!

Used several packages including CorelDraw. Anyway I left there a few years ago and went on my own but struggled to get enough work in. Bought a van and did van driving for a couple of years then decided to become a Barber (big career jump I know but still using my artistic side)

So been barbering 8 years and I love it, I also love cars and have decided to have a small sideline in vinyl stickers, I dont expect to make a living out of it, but I love designing stuff and miss it. Already got a couple of little jobs lined up on some forums I know. So dont worry wont be competing with most of you guys!

My intentions are to get a fairly powerful Pc & Corel.

My outputs to start at least are going to be fairly small runs, so after reading a couple of ‘start up’ threads on here I shall be avoiding cheap chinese plotters on ebay and looking to get a quality secondhand small plotter maybe even a Roland stika etc

Im a bit clueless about printing to vinyl, but used to work in prepress, making negs/plates etc so sure ill pick it up ok. If anyone can recommend good vinyl/supplies company would be grateful.

this is exactly the reason we have those threads on the cheap Chinese machines, a deterrent.
