    Hi,

I was offered the Durajet ink system when I had my Cadet but never tried them. I asked for printed samples but was not impressed with what was sent.

I did tell them I was not impressed with the samples but they never followed up, consequently I never tried their inks.

i tried them to run as a product test for UKSB and did NOT find any problems with their ink in the "short time" i used them.
I wanted to test the durability of the ink more than anything and i was happy with the results. they "where" as durable as my activasol solvent inks. the claim is that they are printer friendly, so no need to do the weekly clean etc [even though i still think any printer operator should do it] anyway, price was very good also… i never completed my tests because i was caught short with ink on running some big jobs that needed to go out at last minute. sitting on the shelf i had litre bottles of my own activasol ink, so you guessed it! a flush and in with the ink to get the job completed over a weekend. shame i didnt get to run the tests course actually… 😕

what was wrong that you didnt like the samples sent?

the company owned by dave standen has been going for years and i have used them for around 6 years. i cannot fault the companies customer service or the support they have given me in this time. where else do you get sent sweeties with every order you make? :lol1:

    Rob,

I have purchased ribbons for my Edge from them, I cannot fault the customer service, but they never followed up with better samples. I find that most of the print I do is at 720dpi and asked for samples at 720dpi.
The sample sent was maybe not the best of images and not at 720dpi so I never found out if there were any issues with the ink at the higher resolutions.

completely agree frank, if a sample is not upto your expectations then thats that mate.
as you said, maybe the image they used wasnt the greates quality or the machine, or the machine settings, profile for that matter wasnt just right… 🙄
