Posted by Jason Xuereb on 15 August 2008 at 04:53 Has anyone double taped velcro to fabric before? What did you use? I don’t want to sew the fabric as I don’t want to see the thread on the other side. Have I got any other options? I´ve used iron-on velcro where the customer wanted to interchange the sponsors´logos on the Polo shirts. Worked well. Chris A Jason Xuereb Member 15 August 2008 at 09:14 Thanks Chris didnt even know that existed. I will look into it. John Childs Member 15 August 2008 at 14:36 Jason, My wife makes curtains for a living and uses a lot of velcro for sticking fabric to wood on pelmets and the like. She says that she has yet to come across a reliable method of fixing velcro to material, which didn’t involve sewing. She also doubts that your clients are any more fussy than hers, when her product is hanging in their nice immaculate sitting rooms. 😀 Her advice is to sew it, and if you use an appropriate colour thread, it should be all but invisible. Jason Xuereb Member 18 August 2008 at 09:01 Hey Mr Childs, Got my cousin teaching me to sew this week. Who would of thought I’d be sewing. Don’t know how good I’m going to be at it.
