Has anyone bought or used a Trimalco Apollo cutter?
I am looking at purchasing one for cutting Aluminium Composite.
Just wondered if anyone had experience with this as it seems a lot cheaper than a Keencut Steeltrack.

    Thanks

Hi I bought one second hand a couple of years ago. Its been great for cutting thick foamex and aluminium composite panels. I also have the perspex scorer. Mine will cut up to 2200mm which is all i need really. Bigger panels i have cut before delivery. Its saved me money in being easier to use up offcuts instead of buying in all the time. Its a bit of a faf to set up and you need to check it every few months to ensure its still cutting square. The laser light didn’t last very long and got damaged soon after i bought it. That said didn’t really use it much. I would say from my experience that its no better or worse than the more expensive Keencut. If its getting loads of use after a year and you want to spend some money trade it in and get the keencut, but i think like me you will find it is more than cable of doing the job.

When I had initially checked these cutters out it was nearly half the price of the keencut.
I just got the quote back inclusive of the larger cutting area (cuts to 2500mm) and aluminium composite attachment it worked out nearly £100 more than the similairy speced keencut!
It’s a bit pointless making something similair and pricing it higher than the original!
