    Has anybody got any good tips on finishing the edge of MDF?

    Has anybody got any good tips on finishing the edge of MDF. It seems to take forever to get a reasonable finish, there must be an easier way.

    there is a special sealer for it….but i think a few coats shellac might work aswell…..

    normal wood glue rubbed into the porous end, wait to it dries and give it a good sanding, works every time,

    If you water down some pva (wood glue) you can just brush it all over to seal.
