Hardy Signs supplies signage for Burton based college

A signage supplying firm has linked up with Burton and South Derbyshire College. Hardy Signs, based in Wetmore Road, has been working with the college to improve signs in and around the campus. Earlier this year, the company installed a large format sign at the college’s Lichfield Road site. More recently, the firm fitted a second external sign at the site. Alan Gunter, workshop manager at Hardy Signs, spoke to the Mail.
He said: "Any installation of signs at height is always challenging." "Besides the installation, I must ensure the safety of our team members and the public, especially on a busy college site. With support from the construction site office and the commitment of our experienced fitting team, we are pleased to complete another professional installation for the college."
The company is also advising the college on the establishment of a digital output facility which will prepare creative and design learners for entry into the sector. Nik Hardy, managing director of Hardy Signs, said: "The investment that the college is making in enhancing its graphics and creative curriculum is a giant leap forward to fill the skills gap, especially in creative industries." "We’re delighted to be working with the college and to share our expertise."
Chris Beech, head of creative industries at Burton and South Derbyshire College, said: "We are excited to be working with Hardy Signs to give our students an insight into the creative industries."
