Welcome Damsk.
As you have found it’s a very valuable site for information, help, tips and tricks.
What is sometimes forgotten is that as a sole trader or the head of a small company it can sometimes be difficult to find like-minded people with whom to discuss business issues. I am lucky in that I have many friends in a similar situation to myself but nevertheless I derive benefit from reading the opinions of others in the same trade as myself on a wide swathe of subjects, ranging from the benefits of trading as a limited company to the value of having a web site.
I am often out of step with the majority, perhaps due to the nature of my own business, but the input is welcome and of assistance in helping me come to my own decisions in due course.
I look forward to your input.

Thanks Leeroy, Rob and John for the welcome much appreciated.
It is nice to have such approachable support, like you said John invaluable!
Im currently doing my homework as to the most appropriate piece of kit for myself to launch into the sign abyss. Hope to be attending a few shows to gather the latest on specifications, pricing, deals, etc based on this information and I hope your advice I will make my decision to finance the most appropriate kit.
Any advice, tips, dos & donts, what to look out for (salesman blah…!) would be greatly welcomed. Ive had my eye on the Roland PC600 to start me off which looks a pretty versatile piece of kit.
For 14 years I have been involved with corporate design which pays the bills, but I have always wanted to get involved with more creative design and after having a go at vehicle graphics I was bitten by the bug.
Since then I have attended Mikes Sign School vehicle graphics day, which has just reinforced the fact that I really need to be involved with vinyl (the starting with a blank vehicle and ending up with the finish product and standing back and admiring – total job satisfaction!) I also enjoy the challenge of mastering the vinyl application technique, Mikes class has assisted with this no end tips and tricks when shown,I think of course I should be doing it that way.
Im starting to waffle on a bit now, but I hope that gives you more of a background of where Im coming from.
Speak to you all soon
Damsk 🙂
