Here is a huge ice cream cone I painted for a place down the road,
as well as the banner I painted for last weekend’s International Letterhead meet at the Cincinnati Zoo.
    Love….Jill

Nice work Jill – I really like the font you’ve used for the "Safari at the zoo" text.

    Really eye catching designs

    Jill I love it,

Love the swirly stuff behind the lettering on the banner, are the pictures painted aswell?

Ice cream cone is fantastic what size is it?

So refreshing to see some quality brush work!

    😀

Everything is all paint, and the swirlies were just an afterthought, as I thought the banner needed some filler.
At first I thought I ruined it, but then when I hung it up I was glad that I did it.
    I used a Swirly-Q.

The cone is on 4×8 Alumalite.
It’s up on the existing sign pole now, and you can see it for a half-mile.
The wet blends look sort of smeary up close, but it looks better and more 3-D from a distance.
    Thanks!

Here’s a close-up of the banner pictures. I got the idea of the smoking monkey from something I found on the net about one named Wednesday who enjoyed tea and a smoke at the Edinburgh Zoo in the 1930s.
The Cincinnati version of chili (you spell it Chilli I think) is served over pasta…eww!
It also is flavored with cinnamon…eww again!
