I’m adding this puppy to my line….2 pics here. First is just the carving and the second shows it framed.

8×10 image….carved pine with black stain. The glass has the "matt" painted on the back of the glass and the beveled gild is on the front.

    Takes about 4 hrs total.

    Joe,

    Makin Chips and Havin fun!

Mate, that is smashing! It looks brilliant in a nice frame.

    Not too bad for a beginner, I s’pose. 😉

    oh that is just beautiful
and I can imagine that the matt painted ont he backside with the gilded frame on the front must add a nice dimensional look to it.

    and off topic

Joe, what does makin chips mean? 😮 😀

    Thanks everyone! 🙂

    "Makin Chips and Havin Fun!"

Leigh, that’s what I do for a living (the makin chips part).

I take a board and using gouges and a knife, I dig a hole in it. To dig the hole I make wood chips with the tools. Therefore, I’m makin chips! 🙂
All kidding aside, making chips is what this craft is about. If you can’t make every kind of chip, you are limited.

I was at this level of craftsmanship 30 years ago. The only thing that has changed is what I present for sale. For me, and I’m sure for you and everyone who makes something original to sell, (after a few years of experience) the challenge is not the technology, it’s about originality and design……………and marketing………and hard work.

Oh, and BTW, the funnist part is get to sell the hole!!!!!!!!!! 😀

Every thing I "make" I throw away!!!!!!!!! 😉

    Joe,

    Makin Chips and Havin Fun!
