If you stick in a quick intro in the "Say Hello" section you will get a few more responses rather than jumping straight in asking questions.
I do not have a grinder, just lost out on a popular auction site for one recently, however I do know about cutter geometry and have done quite a bit of drill sharpening……………..
P.S. Welcome to the boards

Hi New to the Forum, but not the CG-30
Have you figured out how to properly place the Cutter into the collet with the bar that folds down ?
the CG-30 has 3 pre marked cutter angles for routine cutting, have you found those. ?
Also you are able to adjust the back angle on the cutter. marked 50 to 20 I believe with a thumb screw that adjusts the stop position.. 40 is the normal setting 30 is used for harder materials being cut like stainless.
Tipping the cutters ? got that down "T" on the degree scale.
Tell me where to start… Wish I could find my manual…. can you make pdf files and e-mail ?

Made contact with Gravograph (New Hermes) to see about a replacement manual… They wanted $35 US for a PDF version… That was more incentive than I need to go through my warehouse to find my hardcopy …….and there is was in the last box …….
Mark,
