Right so pretty much dived in with two feet and took on the equipment. So now have all the gear and no idea!

    "caveat emptor"

First problem i have is with a grenadier printer, print heads all ok which is the good news and was printing fine before i moved. However PC with rip died in trasnport hard disc is gone on it.

I have the rip and the wee key thing installed now on new pc which is running fine. Problem is I don’t know the ip address of the printer to set it up so rip can send it.

So how can i find the ip address of the grenadier printer?

First of many questions in coming weeks me thinks.

Thanks in advance for any info shared.

    Cheers

    Evening Johnny,

I dont know the grenadier machine exactly but to find the IP address I’d suggest plugging it directly into your PC or laptop with the lan cable.

Go to control panel – network and internet – network and sharing centre – network map

It should give you the detail you need

download Inter-Con Net Tool this will seek the ip address from the printer. Roland supply this with printer normally and is a handy tool to keep on a thumb drive etc. Try & find it on the Roland site might be safer

Well I don’t normally help people with no profile picture but this is a no brainer for me.
Turn on printer, press menu, press up arrow 5 times, press 1 right, 3 down, 1 right and 1 right and there is your IP address.
