• Graphtech broken

    Hello everyone!

I bought a graphtec fc7000 130 and its broken. Everytime I turn it one, it makes a clicking noise and the lcd screen flashes at the same time. Anyone have an idea of what it could be? Here is a quick video of my plotter. I would like to do this myself, im in Southern California and I found the plotter doctor in Bellflower, but they quoted me up to $2100 and that is way over my budget at the moment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpTtOFb3 … ideo_title

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

    Thanks!

At first I thought power supply, but looks like the head is broken. The plastic cover is cracked so it has been hit hard. How much did you pay for it? Send it back?

Without expensive spare parts I wouldn’t like to plot accurately with it even if you fix it.

I bought it from a friend who bought it at an auction for $500… Im gonna take a more detailed video of the cutting head, maybe take apart the black plastic to see any damage inside…

    thanks!
