    Hi All,
    I run oynx on my HP Latex 2550 – i have a graphtec FC7000 130.

I have never done contour cutting before but i now need to. The machines are in different areas of the building.

What im after is a idiots guide if poss? im creating my print files in CS5 illustrator.

what would i use to cut? flexisign or do it on the onyx rip?

Any help is much appreciated 🙂

    Thanks, Nic

I would create this in Illustrator and setup using cutting master. The help files are very useful but you also need to add registration marks after you have created the artwork, export as an eps file to your RIP print and place back in your graphtec and cut.

I would read the ‘How to Print and Cut’ file linked to cutting master as it will tell how to setup each layer so the cutter knows which parts to cut. It sounds complicated but is fairly straightforward once you start.

Any questions just post and I’ll try to answer them.

Nic, you got same setup as a few of us…

I have Cut Server installed on a separate PC which is working with Onyx, finding problems at the moment, might be settings on the plotter… hoping to sort them out when i look into it.

This PDF might help… the person who setup up the kit, needs to train you
