I’m cutting some Laminated print, we’ve done loads of the stuff in the past but I’m hitting a stumbling block that I can’t fathom out.

I’ve set the condition up, the pressure is correct on the test cut, yet when I cut my Bosch logo, it’s cutting right through the backing in some places, and cutting fine in others.

It’s a brand new cutting strip, and the blade was new in last week.

I’ve checked the artwork to make sure there’s no double paths, and it’s cutting it twice, but that’s all OK?

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    David
although you have a new blade in it does sound like a blade issue. I would just knock back your settings 5grms at a time. You can get a good test cut which is normally a straight forward shape but when cutting a more complex shape blade digs in. I’m sure you know you should just see a slight scar and i mean slight on the backing paper when you weed your test image.

    Cheers Kev,

I changed the blade as it’s the only thing I could think of, issue resolved.

Funny how after 5+ years I haven’t ever had the problem and it would cut M7 all day long without an issue!

Hi guys, I have this issue with my graphtec ce6000 … Brand new machine and brand new blade … I loaded my 610 vinyl media and was cutting stripes which was the full width of the vinyl (610) 30 X stripes and once cut I started too weed them to find it had only cut proper on the right hand side and only scribed on the left hand side .. I also noticed that the media was slipping about under the rollers (like the rollers aren’t pressed down hard enough to hold it in place? Anybody help us out? This is causing major stress LOL

Not sure if the CE has the option to adjust the pressure on the grit rollers like the FC.

On the back of the rollers where you can adjust their position, there’s a leaver, IIRC, all but the nearside one are adjustable, between, medium & high pressure.
