Grandstand – signwriting
I thought this might interest some.
Look at the photo gallery from Grandstand. The results were signwritten onto boards and then filmed by the cameraman. Bit different from today’s video graphics!

Good stuff! Love the hand written race cards, I done that kind of work for many years, funny how all ticket artists have very similar styles.
Oh how things have moved on, I noticed the Marathon coverage on Sunday, they used a ”Google Earth” approach to show the course layout.
Sad to see Grandstand is to be phased out, 🙁
