  • Grainy lighter colours with BN-20?

Posted by Robin Summers on 12 January 2018 at 14:23

Hi, not long had my BN-20 but I am liking it so far. Only issue I seem to have is when printing lighter colours such as the in the image I have attached. Not sure if I’m just being really picky or not but it looks a bit too grainy to me for a £5k machine?

Is this a settings issue or am I expecting too much? For reference I’m printing onto transparent vinyl with a white bottom layer first.

    Thanks,
    Rob

Change the preset to sign & digital and find the correct media profile for the media your using.

Our reds were worse than this but a bit of playing around and much better

Looks to be a profile issue. As Chris said find the correct profile. Profile for metamark md5 is a good all rounder
