Grafiwrap course on Monday :D
Posted by Anthony Woodsford on June 18, 2010 at 7:20 pmYupi, my credit card took a bashing, and I booked myself up for a grafiwrap course on monday and tuesday, after never hearing anything back from Roland DG about their coursem which is only ten mins from me.
Had to ask a couple of questions to grafiwrap since, and Nigel has been super quick and informative on relaying info.
I’ll be sticking up a full report on tuesday evening, as I am a beginner with some big ideas about vehicle wrapping 😀
So, keep your eyes peeled if your interested in the course yourself!

Matt my time ain’t cheap………better than that it is free, just bring some banter so we can have a laugh 😀

Well, I did the course, and this is what i thought.
Monday Morning, as I hadn’t received anything in the post about the course, I was told to turn up between half 8 and 9, Done. Unfortunatly the course started at half 9, and james was running a few mins late due to traffic.
Nay mind.
The group I was with was a good one, all of people in the signage industry, then me, the architectural techinician….
Outline
The course outline was all set in place, and james adhered to it very well (see what i did there?!) meaning he knew what we were meant to be doing and well, he explaiend everything througoughly, meaning that a dummy like me could complteley understand it.
Practical
Lots of hands on, and loads of material and tools to use, and lots of practice, via applying and repealing, heating up and re-applying. Meaning if you didnt get it first time, you would certainly get another chance
Classroom
Again very good, premises are clean, and spacious, and the room is very apt, james theory lessons were great and made it clear how tricks could be accomplished.
Overall
Fantastic in a word. Learnt a massive amount about the theory and application, tools, and materials, James is very good, and makes it look too easy. Hes a good laugh and likes a bit of banter, as did the rest of the group. Well worth doing if your looking at getting into wrapping.
I know its a short summary, but anything else would be too long to read!
Cheers
Ant
Oh, and I got to meet Nigel, who is a bloody nice chap.
