Hi there, I am currently finishing off a sign in which will be located at a low level (5ft) in a rough area and will no doubt be liable to the Graffiti Artists, I would love to hear any tips or tricks I could employ to protect the sign against damage, would appreciate any advice on sparys or over-laminates tips or tricks for protection.
    Regards

Besides actual anti-graffiti film from the like of Wm Smith (3M) there’s not much you can do once it’s been made. Even then it’s not proof – just resistant.

More resistance can be inbuilt if done as a reverse applied on clear polycarb..but a bit late for that now.

Films must be applied dry…I’ve used it on one job many years back but not much call for it as adding it changes the price quote significantly…and it’s not the easiest thing to use.

We buy our anti graffiti laminate from Robert Horne, you can buy it by the linear metre so works out ok. I would imagine there are products available from most suppliers.

We have use a liquid product from http://www.urbanhygiene.com/ called easy on but fine that the over laminate works better for us.

    Hope that this helps.

    Cheers

Standard clear vinyl works well too if budget is an issue. Use graffiti cleaner if there are any problems and spray paint comes of no bother.
