gold leaf window: framptons
Posted by A Misselbrook on 22 March 2006 at 23:51Hi all!
I have just finished doing 2 windows for a butchers shop which has recently been refurbished. He was on the same wavelength as me and loved the idea of traditional handpainting!
I dont think many people see anyone painting backwards on windows much these days!
Everyone is obsessed with mahlsticks! 😎A Misselbrook replied 19 years, 8 months ago 13 Members · 15 Replies -

Brilliant work Aj
Clean and crisp
How many days in total?
Can’t see any laquer line – Has it been laquered? -
Thankyou!
Yep! Its had the varnish treatment! It took bloomin ages cos it was 2 of the same! I tried to keep them both at the same stage, the blending on glass is quite tricky I found because what you see on the inside isnt what it looks like on the other side! I had to keep nipping in and out! they took just over a week, but some days you can only do a little bit so they are not really whole days! 😮 -
Amazing work AJ. Can I just ask what paints you use on glass ? Are OneShot / Keeps enamels Ok on glass.

AJ brilliant as usual, hoping to see some demos of this at the trossachs.
