    Special Glue George :lol1:

I use VHB tape and a corner bracket, you have to make sure you have the corner sitting nicely though as it tries to pull off if there’s to much strain

I once saw a way to make nice corners in trays but now I can’t find it so I’ll be keeping an eye on this thread.

You could try countersunk pop rivets and glue.
I think if your tray sides are pulling hard on the corner brace then your better off with a mechanical fixing like a rivet or screw, a hot glue gun isn’t the right sort of glue anyway, try Araldite or similar.

Polyeurthane adhesive Sealant like, Tiger Seal, etc.
you’ll get it at a car parts shop or the likes.

Sand the panel with a coarse paper and use a small piece of ally angle to give a brace, glue it , then using a bit of tape to hold it in place till it cures, approx 3hrs to set, 48 to fully cure

    Hi George

I just did a search on ‘glue alubond’ in google, 6th one down is a pdf guide to fabrication with Alubond, it may give some pointers, page 10 shows 2 corner options and page 20 shows gluing.

We use an acrylic 2 part resin, around £7-00 a tube and it takes a hammer to break apart….very strong stuff. Try Innova Solutions.

I’ve always used evo-stik ‘serious stuff’

works very well once it goes off (rubbery).
