Just wondering if Giclee prints are any different to printing on my VP300, Just the general things like quality, longevity, colour etc, am being asked by a customer. so can I say that it is just a different way of printing but no better than I can produce on my versacamm?

Martin, the term "Giclee prints" pretty much refers to any large format print these days so your printer would cover that.
Best thing I could suggest is to let your customer see what sort of quality your machine produces & let them judge if it is good enough for them.
Course the quality of work you do for them is only going to be as good as the artwork they provide.
What is this for?? If it is fine art printing to be hung internally then you might not be able to get the same quality as some other machines but only your customer will be able to tell you if it is acceptable or not.

as martin says its all down to the customers expectation, in some circles of art repro the 4 colour printers are not good enough thats why there are 8 colour machines to get the extra smoother tones of colour.
any decent photographer will see the difference and probably reject it. also a lot depends on the profile you use as yet to find my ideal one for versaworks and the VS.
