Gerber Fastrack 650 main PCB board
Does anyone have an old Gerber Fastrack (or 2 !) with mainboard still in working condition they are willing to pass on/sell. I am in a sorry situation with 2 machines with motherboard issues and have been on the hunt for a week !

Robert this seems to be a common fault within the gerber fastrack I had the same machine a few years back and replaced the main board 3 times before deciding it was time for a change, having said that I thought it was a great machine when operating correctly.

Thanks Dave, I did see your reply at the time, I also saw the grief you were having back in 2006, Anyway up and running now with a second hand motherboard from Dublin, and looking for another to get the second machine back up. Yes, good machines but strange I went through 2 PCB’s on mine in 13 or so years (Second one from your Belfast friends!) and the one I aquired had the same fault unknown to the seller. (have to laugh!)
Lots of fun researching and finding guys in L.A who will refurbish them for a substantial fee ,so there’s life in them yet. glad its not my main income though !! will try the UPS back up/surge protector though, it was advised by my friend who deals with chips in Intel who says the atmosphere of the Irish coast and poor power supply play havoc with the ‘older technology’ …. lots of life lessons in the last 2 months ! cheers 🙂
