    Hi

I’m new to the sign trade and I’ve just got a Gerber Fastrack 1300. We have just performed a test cut using the machines built in test cut feature and while the quality of the straight lines are excellent if you look closer the round edges of the numbers 0 and 8 seem bumby and not crisp and round.

Any ideas what this could be?

    Cheers guys

hi i’m new on here ,but used the fastrak for years , you will get that wavy edge
around curved parts , if the letters or numbers are small and speed is to high ,
we ran ours on min , check the blade is clean sharp and able to rotate ,
the grip wheels need to be clean and vinyl straight and flat on the bed ,
    use a smart blade
if your not sure how to remove and insert the original ,
    depending on your software
you can adjust sharpness and corners as well , hope this helps

Cheers Dave, I found that it would cut wavy lines when using the built in test cut but when I cut from a signlab demo it seems to have stopped!

plus we used to get wrinkles at the beginning on the roll so pull the vinyl through
200 mm before gripping it , on the artwork we would put a full stop about 2 inches
in front so it wouldn’t start cutting right on the edge of the vinyl ,
