We have an Edge 1 and GSx + print plot system that is new to us, it was working a treat on Omega 1.56 and now it has decided to go belly up Not to happy and we have no way of knowing why…. It basically warms up and then, initializes and then goes off line and will not print. the job is being passed as it shows the vinyl selection, then asks for the foil, warms up and then stops and goes off line. Tried the print test pattern but nothing same issue just drops the job! Any clues would be good otherwise its a visit from the Spandex engineer Not sue what that will cost?

Any feedback on similar issues or how to resolve would be great, I may also need some help with a very small job that I need to get done before the end of the week, so if any one can help let me know.

Any how thanks for reading my plight.

Not too sure what is wrong with that as I’ve never come across that fault before, if you get the same problem when trying the test pattern then you know it’s not a software or connection problem.

I would suggest to contact Spandex’s tech support, they might be able to shed some light on this over the phone prior to a callout.

Ohhh no 🙁 now it just beeps on power up and will not initialize or stop beeping? My happiness was so short lived I had hopped that I could continue printing but not to be! Any clues why it would stop displaying and keep beeping on power up?

Have you tried to open it up and do the obvious, i.e. ensure all dust and bits are removed and check all connections are solid?

I have just switched it off disconnected the printer cable and now it works? Gets the head up to 25 deg and is working again??? Something ain’t right. do you think I should get it checked by spandex?

That might still be a good idea, as if it goes wrong again it might not work and then you’re stuck.
