Garment Vinyl with Self adhesive backing.
Hello all. Just tried to buy some SA Flex vinyl from Grafityp, but they have stopped supplying it due to a large price hike. We have tried other vinyls but havent found one we like anywhere near as much. We particularly liked the fact that the backing sheet was slightly self adhesive which helps greatly with both weeding and laying up on the garment.
What I’m looking for is an alternative with this self adhesive backing. Anyone know of another vinyl?

Hi Robert i use victory’s garment film never had a problem with it and it also has a slightly self adhesive backing

Great – Thanks chaps.
Gonna order the stuff from Hexis as it appears, as George says, to be the same vinyl that grafityp were distributing.
Also going to get a sample form Victory. I had looked on the web site but it doesn’t say anything about having a self adhesive backing.

John – I thought you might be a bit dissapointed at that news. It was on your recommendation that I first tried the stuff. It seems, (reading between the lines), that Hexis who appear to manufacture, or at least license this vinyl have decided they don’t want any distributors. We’ve just asked them for anyone else we might get it from because they are out of stock of white would you believe.

Defintaley not available over the phone. I suspect the website just hasn’t been updated. If anyone manages to get any out of Grafityp then please let me know so I can shout at my purchasing manager 🙂 .

We do still supply this material, but from a different supplier as the original supplier have put their prices up by such a large margin it left us with no choice but to discontinue that particular material.
So yes we can still supply a self adhesive textile material and still retain the same price as the original.
This new material has just arrived into our stock and is now available.

Nigel – Thanks for clearing that up. Maybe your sales staff need to be brought up to date though as we were told late this afternoon that you wouldn’t be able to despatch the alternative until next Wednesday. Had to order elsewhere due to this.
