    Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a better (cheaper) place than MDP for Flex Garment Vinyl?
    They have at £4.75 per 500mm x 1000mm.

    Cheers!

    Toby.

Not sure of the price in the UK. I use Premium from Stahls, I think its sold by a firm in Braintree, Essex ( http://www.targettransfers.com/index.php ). Its not the cheapest ( about the same as the others) but worth it for ease of use , softness and hot "peelability" when it comes out of the press. I also buy others of similar quality and price but they dont appear to be available in the UK.
After experimenting with cheap vinyls I found the money I saved was offset by the extra weeding time and often having to press the garment twice to ensure the vinyl stick at the edges. Plus the worry that the garments might come back because the vinyl was coming off.

Have tried FLEX and would never use it again.
It´s too thick (120 microns). Trying to cut very small letters is impossible.
Weeding is difficult because you can barely see the cut lines. And it cracks badly after washing a few times.
Victory do a very thin 60 micron vinyl which I´d recommend as I buy a similar product here.
But the one I use most is stocked in England by Target Transfers.
You can peel it hot, and as far as i know is the only vinyl that can be ironed over.

I use Premium from Target and although I’ve tried others this is my material of choice. Cuts, weeds and presses well, Durability better than others and more iron over resistant. Price is about right.

    Thanks everyone.

Elena – Thanks for listing for me, but I don’t have the full membership on here.

Decided to go to Target after the recommendations, lets hope it turns up what with all this snow!

    Thanks

    Toby.
