Football pitch graphics brain-buster
I do most of the stadium advertising for a local football club.
They´ll be live on national TV at least 3 times between October and the end of the season and have asked me to do advertising on the pitch.
It´s to be done as you see on Rugby/Football/Cricket pitches so that the graphics appear as if it´s a normal triangular banner frame when viewed from a TV camera centrally placed in the press-box about 20 metres above the pitch.
In this particular case, the graphics will be on the far side of both goalposts
facing at an angle towards the camera. The club don´t want painting directly onto the grass, so I´ll probably print it on a thin banner material like Tyvec pegged into the turf.
I know the graphics are done by hugely distorting the letters/logo, but have no idea how to calculate the "mathematics" of it.
Any help as to how I go about this would be most appreciated.
