  • Font Required: Lucida Handwriting Bold

I have Lucida Handwriting italic but need the bold version (I can add italics manually) but the application I use (embroidery) doesn’t allow me to create a bold font from a non bold TTF!

    Cheers

Hi John I dont think it exists 😕

Lucida handwriting italic appears to be the only hand written version.

I couldnt find it anywhere on the net

i’ve needed to use it as a bolder font before, so i simply adderd a small contour and welded it together, creating a fatter font.

i seem to have lost handwriting though, had to make do with ff running text lately!

    Thanks for the offer Ian.

If you could produce it in a vector format that would be great as I could resize and create stitches.

This is what I need, justified centred

    Hi John,
Could you add more compensation to the lettering to make it bolder or would that make it too messy for embroidery?

    Alex.

I did try that but it started looking a bit ‘loose’.

It’s not desperately important – converting TTF to embroidery lettering can be a bit hit & miss.

    John,
I had a quick play with it, I’m not sure how bold you would like it though. It will still need a little tidying up i think but see if it’s along the right lines.
I can PM you the file if you like as i can’t upload the file on here.

    Alex.
