Font Identification help please
Can anyone help me identify the font from this American Sign please?
It comes from the type of sign that would have been seen all over up and down the Mississippi and other big rivers in the mid to late 1800’s and beyond.
I think it is either a specific american font or a particular font that has been sign-written then had extensions attached to the "R" and also had a "American west" line drawn horizontally through the centre of each letter.
I am not trying to recreate the sign itself but I am trying to recreate the font style.

Its boston truck style, a letter head font, may get shouted at from Jill, but I could give you the words as an AI if thats all you needor we could do a swap if you Have helvetica neue 65 medium I need the word "nextmove"

It is indeed Boston Truckstyle by Captain Ken.
The top line looks to be Chesham Sans by Arthur Vanson (a UK signwriter)
Both are Letterhead fonts.
Try this font:

for the header.
It’s free and quite effective.
Lots of the fonts on the above site are free, and many are very period-appropriate for American signwriting.
