hi, need to reproduce some artwork for a customer, they don’t know what the font is…

can anyone here help please ???

the blue font is what i need,

close fonts are ‘ff halva’, ‘dotum’, and the one shown…. ‘haettenschweiler’, all are either too thin, too fat, etc, i’m basing the similarity on the rather distinct ‘R’.

would be extremely greatful if any one could either give me the font, or tell me where i might get it,
    thanks.

    Hugh

it’s not far off, is there such a font as helvetica condensed bold ? i reckon that might do it ? that or bold.

Hugh, the only reason Helvetica occured to me is that in the old days it was the "standard" default font that was installed on the first plotters.
Therefore many signs were made using that font.
Try Swiss, I think it is nearly the same thing.
I have all kinds of Helveticas in my Gerber program but unfortunately cannot transfer them in a .ttf format, or any other way that I can figure.

thanks Jill, i’ll have a se if i can find the family somewhere, the font looks very close, just too thin, and too expanded ! i might be able to fatten and condense it but it isn’t an easy fix (had a quick go), some fatter and space easily, this one doesn’t !!

    thanks again.

I think it’s Helvetica Heavy Condensed Oblique, with a bit of extra pulling
    about as well.

    Cheers,
    Jamie.
