Hi Guys, can anyone suggest a fluorescent tube that gives off a natural light?
I do a lot of colour matching in a fluorescent lit print shop and find that the colours i create look totally different under natural daylight. It would help if i can get some tubes to make it at least a bit easier and will save my feet having to walk outside all the time

We’ve got what are supposed to be ‘daylight’ tubes in our print room…they were recommended and fitted by an electrician that knows his stuff cos he does lighting for television shoots for the BBC and such like

they are great for everything except yellowy greens……matched in the print room they look perfect but then take them outside and they look really dirty goldy greens

have you considered a colour matching booth?

I’ve never used one but they allow you to try various light sources in the one booth.

I’ve got no idea of cost either but I would imagine a google search should throw some light on it (did you see what I did there :lol1:)
