  • Floor graphics on a wooden floor

    Hi
I have been asked to put down some temporary graphics on a (flat and polished) wooden floor. The client only wants the graphics down for a max of 4 weeks.
I have just spoken to someone from Metamark (I was going to use their floor vinyl and laminate for the job) who informed me that you will not get a vinyl to stick to wooden floors. Is there any way (or product) that can do the job?
    Thanks in advance
    Michael 😀

    Hi,

I recently paid a visit to our local vinyl supplier APA in beleverdere Kent and picked up a sample of floor vinyl which has a really strong tack.

Search them on google and get them to send you a free sample. Also make out that you do alot of floor printing and they will probably send you a large sample.

    Many Thanks

I have done many gaphics onto wood,
I used to use the 3m from spandex, but it was very expensive,
Most floor graphics are considered temporary, I now just use normal oracle 3651, for digiprint with a mat overlay, but if the graphics are just cut vinyl, then as long as you apply to a prepped area, i woudnt think you will have a problem for 4 weeks Ask Rob’s bro, he should Know

Go Flexcon. It’s the only one I’ve seen tested in Australia to meet our standards.

Same as Peter, printed graphic on Oracal and matt laminate on top with overlap.
Done a few onto polished wood floors like this and they are high traffic areas, "wait here to be served" in some local post offices, they have been fine for a couple of years.
I initially told the owner that it may not work so they had to inspect it every day and if it started to lift to take the whole thing up so I was surprised to see them lasting so long.
