Floor Graphics : How do we go about it? Help please?
Good morning everyone.
We’ve got a smallish area at the entrance to our unit that we were toying with the idea of producing a digital print for the floor. We have a UV and solvent digital printer so can print the images ourselves but have never produced any floor graphics yet.
Roughly how do we go about that ? Do we print onto ‘normal’ digital vinyl and just laminate with the appropriate laminate or are there special vinyls for doing this sort of thing ?
I also had a quick look at the laminates and they do appear to have a short life span (1-6 months dependent on quality) which may put a stop to it for starters anyway as this is one of the main entrances so probably does have a fair amount of foot traffic.

We generally use a dedicated floor vinyl and laminate. Whatever you use is going to get a bit rough after a few months though.

We normal use either 3M or Mactac both are good materials for the job but these vinyl only have a short lifespan reccomened internal 6 months to a year durability external is a different material but only 3 months recommended durability.
Contour cutting these is hard on your blades.

Looks like it may be a non-starter due to the short life span. Suppose you can only expect a certain amount from applying vinyl to a floor and walking over it all the time.
