Flexi Problem
Hi
I’m stugling with Flexi 7.6, on screen I have all the logo imported as EPS but when I send it to cut the first letter is missing?
it’s all visable etc in the design screen, then I high light it and send to production and it’s gone ( I have checked that I haven’t missed it off when high lighting!)
Also when using a newer computer that I just use for design using flexi 8.1 I then try to open saved files up on the cutting computer using flexi 7.6 is says incompatible is there anyway around this? other than conecting the cutter up to the other computer? the computer that is currently running the cutter is to old to take flexi 8.1 so that isn’t an option either.

Not a flexi user so not a lot of help with the problem but as far as using one version to design & a different version to cut I would say that there isn’t a way round the problem other than by saving in a different file format on the design machine & importing onto the cutting machine.
Just the way software works, should work ok the other way round, stuff designed on your cutting machine will open on the design machine because software is backward compatible but doesn’t work the other way round.
Shouldn’t be to expensive to upgrade, just give scanvec a call sure it would be worth it. -
I don’t use Flexi, but can’t you SAVE AS in 8.1 to an earlier version of Flexy (7.6 or earlier). That way it shoulf open in 7.6.

Either save it as an older version of flexi or if you are just cutting then Export it as an EPS. and Import in the older version.

Regards your first problem. Is there solid colour in the design? If so, before you send to cut go to the fill/stroke editor and click on "no fill" then send to cut.
I’m also a newbie and had exactly the same problem last night. Hope this solves your problem. -

Thanks again, Ewan already tried that and it didn’t work, reopened the file in ilustrator resaved it and tried again and now has worked???? oh well it’s done thats the main thing thanks again for your help
