flat rate vat
Has anyone registered for the flat rate vat scheme? I was thinking of doing so but there is no classification for Signmaking, can anyone let me know what other category it would be under? thanks

Yes we registered for the flat rate scheme a few years ago. I think the category we fall under is printing.

Yes, not only is it easier to administer, we calculated that we would end up paying less tax using the flat rate scheme. It should be a simple exercise for you to calculate for yourself any difference it would make for your own particular circumstances. And of course you can always revert back to the old scheme at any time should you rise above the threshhold to be eligible for the flate rate scheme or wish to return to the standard system for any other reason
