My first suggestion would be to stop shouting, it is considered rude. 😉
My second suggestion would be to pay a visit to sign UK next week where I am sure there will be a few flatbed digital printers on display and you can have a good look at the quality for yourself. -
i would not bother unless you know how much they are paying already for substandard stuff and how much extra they are prepared to pay for better i bet there aint much difference.

hmm…, cheers for the replies. think maybe i should try and locate a better screen printer ! And Martin, i didn’t mean to type all in ‘shouting’ capitals. It’s just i type the old fast ‘two finger hit and miss’ method with eyes on keyboard, and look up after 5 mins to discover it’s all caps !

Hi Lee
Sorry but not sure if you are looking for a supplier of the machines or just the print.
Cheers. Nick.

Lee sorry, it’s one of my numerous pet hates 👿
As for printing, I would have thought screen printing would be the cheapest option, you may find they aren’t prepared to pay the extra cost involved in a better quality print no matter how its done. As for digital I would imagine you would be looking at UV so you could print straight to substrate and I have no idea what the cost per unit would be if done this way. I certainly wouldn’t start looking out for a machine to buy unless I knew I had a market for the output. One customer may require you to do quite a bit of work for them but Estate Agents in my opinion tend not to be very loyal and will drop you if they get a better price leaving you with a very expensive machine to pay for, if you have had time to build up other markets for the graphics its not quite as bad but if you haven’t then the extra costs could be enough to put you out of business. If you buy in to start with you will obviously make less profit yourself but at least you can build your market up to a point where buying a machine is the only sensible option.

Try Modern Signs Digital in Barnsley
They have recently manufactured some printed foamex for an exhibition I was involved with. Very good price too. 😀
