    Hi Everyone

After routering letters from clear polycarbonate that I want to illuminate from with-in, what is the best way of fixing them to the tray. If it is glue what is the best clear glue to use. On the last job (image attached) I glued them to a sheet of opaque polycarbonate fixed inside the tray but wasn’t totally convinced this was the best way to do it.

    Any suggestion appreciated.

    Hi Gary,

I have manufactured signs like this for years and always used Tensol and mounted onto 3mm Opal acrylic. Or for a bit of styling why not mount on Clear acrylic and back with translucent vinyl to create a halo glow! thank me later on that 1

    Hi Bobby
I actually bought translucent vinyl for that job but never used it…will definitely give it a try though. I tend to use lexon SG305 opaque polycarbonate as it is specially designed for LEDs…diffuses the light evenly with no hot spots.
Will need to look back through my invoices to see what glue I used as this was the real issue, trying to find something that is totally clear so as not to reduce the light coming through.
