Looks fabulous – well done.
How did you find the vinyl, was it easy to apply and work over compound curves?

Thanks Phill was very hard to apply as soon as you let it even rest on the metal it was bonding to the vehicle straight away it worked very well over the compound curves though

Thanks Craig

Definitely a head turner, better than any old add in the local newspaper 😀

Fantastic mate. I must sign my own vehicle I guess. I’m a white van man at the moment.

Very striking Chris,
not really my kind of thing.. by very good job
how you doing Shane?
-
Looks pretty awesome. Keep it up.
Was that straight DPF6000 or DPF6000X?
Arlon is pretty aggressive. Once you get over it though just be careful to have the positioning right before you remove the backing paper.
I prefer it on vans. Once you post heat to 120 degrees it isn’t coming out.

I’m doing fine thanks Fred :lol1: :lol1: Got 10,000 stickers to print and laminate by monday…. guess what I’m doing this weekend. 👿
It will put my new liquid laminator to the test. Hope I don’t stuff it tho 🙄
Sorry to go off thread…. 😳

Looks impressive and I like the lightning background and your logo.
But, and if you think I’m talking b****cks then tell me.
There is a lack of contrast in the information on the doors for it to be legible and it’s slightly oversize, could have been reduced a little and the black outline increased to improve the legibility. Very difficult to get contrast with all those background colours going on.
Also the list on the panel is to big and ‘SIGNS’ is too close to the top of the panel.
If the van drove by at 30mph I don’t think you would read the contact information easily which I think is a major problem when wraps are employed.
Anyway, only trying to be constructive and thinking with some slight tweaks you could have an awesome billboard to advertise your business.

Hi Chris
It looks amazing. Out of interest how long did you leave the graphics before laminating??? By loosely winding the fresh unlaminated prints and standing them up off the floor, preferably on a grill to allow good airflow then hopefully most of the solvents will drop away, even better hung up but not always practical.
The solvents soften the adhesive making it very chewy so allowing plenty of drying time before laminating is all important for ease of fitting especially with such a dark image. All that said we all know customers want their vehicles as soon as possible but with your van looking that great its the best advert you have so I’m guessing your gonna have alot of inquiries :lol1:

At first looks it’s striking, but your company name and logo is really lost,
(so i have room to talk) you do need to make your name prominent otherwise the good work could have been done by anyone. and in fact there is no mention that you have done the wrap, so to joe public, it could be just another sky van, if you see what I mean

Hi, looks very eye catching
Just one real question, how did you arrive at using that background image and where did you source that type of image?
cheers

You’ve inspired me Chris. Back in December I designed a wrap for Alisons Mondeo but we haven’t (as yet) got around to doing it. Having seen your work it’s brought home to me what a great advertisement this is for our type of business.
Monday Morning I’ll be firing up the Quatro (sorry got a bit carried away there) , I mean "Cadet" , to start printing our latest "piece" 😀

Peternot sure if I explained my thoughts correctly,
so another go…The wrap does look good, but it does not advertise that you have done it.
I have seen quite a few sign companies that wrap their own motors, but fail to say why how who?
self included, so unless you say something like " wrap your van like this"
the average punter may not associate the van with the company that wrapped it.sorry, for being as clear as mud.

The Arlon will tack as soon as you touch the vehicle. It’s not like 3M 180 or Avery 1005EZ RS. It’s one of the reasons I like it for vans. Arlon is known for having an aggressive adhesive. Some people like it some people don’t.

Nice and bright Chris.. thats what I like..
I would have put my contact details…ie phone number at least along with website alot larger..maybe under your logo, the details on the door are not an instant read as you drive past it.
would like to see pic of the back too….

I get all your points neill my brother fitted the side you are viewing and he had ample xtra vinyl to make that text lower but he didn’t but hey you learn from your mistakes well i take your point on the door info but luckily
That was printed and cut on reflective vinyl and fitted after so its not part of the wrap so it can be taken off and replaced easily -

Hi Gill we have constructed a box with a fan head inside and a large pole in the centre so we load the media onto the pole loosely unwind it and it was left for 48 hours thanks for the kind words
Chris.

PeterHi Peter we have space below the logo and i was thinking along the same lines as you after we had completed the wrap so we are going to put a line of white text reading vehicle wrapping and graphic specialists
