Finally saying hello…
Hi all,
I registered a long, long time ago but never stopped in to introduce myself, sorry. This site is looking really good and you all seem to be a lively, knowledgeable bunch!I own (with my husband) a wide format digital print shop in Perris, California, USA. I spend a bit of time on sign message boards as marketing and sales is my end of the ‘biz. I also find that the boards are the best way to stay current and up to date, there’s a lot of great people out there with a wealth of information!
Most of our printing is for outdoor applications. We run Encad printers (600e and 700 mostly) using DicoJet Longlife Inks, our own PowerFlow cartridges and Onyx PosterShop Rip.
I look forward to coming back as often I can!

Thanks for the warm welcome Robert and I’ll try to get back more often.
And, if you or anyone has any questions regarding digital wide format printing (especially outdoor durable) I’ll be more than happy to share what I know and try to find out what I don’t!

Hi right back first to, kev…in answer to your question. We use DicoJet LongLife UV Water-Based Pigment Inks and Encad printers. Although the inks will last outdoors, 2-3 years unlaminated, we usually do laminate against things like abrasion and the elements. We didn’t want to go solvent because of the cost and environmental concerns but I’ll stop now and tell you that if you’d like to know more, please feel free to email me.
Next, hello Carrie and Steve and thanks for the nice welcome. Am I right in assuming that the two of you run your business together? My husband started the business about 9 years ago and I’ve been on board with him for almost 4 and we still like each other!

😀 Jo anne, yes Steve and I run the business together we are into our third year now and have worked together right from the start …… we work well together – so far and hope to carry on ……. we have a great understanding in work: …… I say, he does and all is great :lol1: No only joking …. we each have our own role within the company and I also get the final say ….. works well!!!! :lol1:
